After Italy and Sweden, it was Denmark’s turn to be ‘invaded’ by Casumo. Malta-based operator obtained a 5-year license from Spillemyndigheden, the Danish Gambling Authority.
Denmark and Scandinavia, in general, are famous for the mobile preference of the players, so Casumo prepares a mobile-first approach. The company will also launch an advertising campaign in the media to raise its brand awareness in the country.
Oscar Simonsson, co-founder and CEO of Casumo, underlined the importance of entering new markets and expressed his confidence for the company’s success in Denmark. He commented that features such as the custom-designed live casino studio or Casumo’s rewards system could be instant hits as soon as Danish players begin to play.
Casumo aims at entering the newly regulated markets like Denmark however, they need to be careful as in the Netherlands the operator was found targeting Dutch players and was fined €310,000 by KSA, the Dutch regulator.
