Campeon Gaming Partners had set eyes upon the UK market for many months and finally, they confirmed their presence in British territory via CampeonUK, the new UK brand of the operator. This is the fourth online casino owned by the same company and backed by the affiliate firm, Income Access, after CampeonBet, Evobet and SvenBet.
Campeon’s brands were successful globally but the company hadn’t so far focused on regulated markets. This attempt to enter a demanding market in terms of regulation such as the UK, marks a strategic turn for Campeon. CampeonUK has already received a gambling license from the United Kingdom Gambling Commission (UKGC) but the casino will operate having a Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) as well.
The UK’s online gaming market is flourishing as it is the only gambling vertical that noted a significant growth comparing to last year. According to UKGC’s report in May, the online gambling sector is accountable for the 38.8% Gross Gaming Yield of the gambling industry, meaning £5.6 billion of the £14.5 billion in total.
CampeonUK enters the UK motivated to make an impression to the local players and establish its name in a very competitive market. Having deals with most of the big-name providers of the market CampeonUK offers an over 3000 games portfolio. The company is expected to create a sports betting section towards the end of the year as they have done with the other three online casinos that they own.
Avraam ‘Akis’ Tosounidis, the firm’s Co-Founder and COO, underlined the great success of Campeon’s endeavors so far, and he considered the move of entering UK’s market as ‘a very important milestone’ for the company.
However, CampeonUK isn’t the only brand that will be introduced to the online gamblers as the operator intends to launch SvenPlay, an expansion to their successful SvenBet project. The new site will be targeting the Swedish market and they have already secured the necessary license by the Swedish Gambling Authority.
